SIOUX CITY -- David Bryce Wilson Nooney (Buford), 38, of Wichita, Kan., formerly of Sioux City, died suddenly Jan. 27, 2009, at his residence following a brief illness.

David was born Jan. 11, 1971, in Columbia, S.C. He lived in Aurora, Colo., for nine and one half years, moved to Blair, Neb., then to Sioux City in 1982. He attended St. Joseph Grade School, Heelan High School and North High School in Sioux City. He was very talented in singing and acting. He was involved in community theater in Sioux City and Wichita.

He is survived by his wife, Aimee, of Wichita; his mothers, Marianne N. Buford of Sioux City and Mary B. Nooney of Aurora, Colo.; his son, Jeffrey Nooney of Port Orchard, Wash., and Jeffrey's mother, Melinda Nooney; his siblings, Jay Nooney of Aurora, Colo., Sarah Buford of Anaheim, Calif., Mary E. Buford and Beth Jensen of Sioux City, Michael Jensen of Boulder, Colo., Karen Buford of Norfolk, Neb., and Linda Buford of Spalding, Neb.; grandmother, Mercedes (Perry) Nooney of Sioux City; his uncle, Greg Nooney of Sioux City; his aunt, Teresa Piere of Shawnee, Kan.; his in-laws, Carl and Sandra Throop, Steve Throop and Teresa Borden of Wichita; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his son, Zachary; his fathers, Timothy Joe Buford and John F. Nooney; and grandfather, Robert C. Nooney.
