SIOUX CITY -- Beverly A. Riley, 75, of Sioux City passed away Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2009, at a local care facility.

Visitation with the family will be 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at Waterbury Funeral Service in Sergeant Bluff. Per her wishes, a cremation will follow the service Saturday. Burial will be at a later date in St. Michael's Cemetery, So, uth Sioux City.

Beverly Ann was born May 24, 1933, in Sac City, Iowa, the daughter of Arlie and Eva (McNeely) Owing. She was one of 13 children, which included her twin sister, Betty, other sisters Alice, Joyce, Bonnie, Doris, Janice and Shirley and her brothers, Arlie, Don, Dwane, Dale and Gerry.

On Dec. 15, 1950, she was united in marriage to John Joseph Riley in Sioux City. Over the years, she worked at several area factories and retired as a senior companion in 2006.

She loved to talk and express her own opinions. She was a devoted mother and doting grandmother.

She is survived by two daughters, Rona Riley of South Sioux City and Alice Duckworth of Wichita, Kan.; several brothers and sisters; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John in 1988; several brothers and sisters; and a great-grandson, Jonathan Lofshult.
