Teeny A. (Pecaut) Hood, 99, of Sioux City formerly of Denison, Iowa died Wednesday, November 10, 199 at Indian Hills Nursing Home.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel, with the Rev. Tom Buzbee of United Presbyterian Church in Denison officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Hood was born June 19, 1900 in Sioux City, the daughter of John C. and Mary (Coffey) Pecaut. She graduated from Central High School with the first mid-year class in 1919. She was then employed as a secretary with American Letter Co.

She married W. Stanley Hood on July 18, 1928 in Sioux City. The couple moved to Denison in 1932. She worked with her husband at the Texaco bulk plant and they owned the Park Motel in Denison. He died September 15, 1963. She continued to live in Denison until 1994 when she returned to Sioux City. She entered Indian Hills Nursing and Rehab Center in 1997.

She was a member of Mayflower Congregational Church while living in Sioux City. She was a member of United Presbyterian Church in Denison, where she taught Sunday School. She was also a member of Coterie Club and Hospital Auxiliary.

Survivors include a daughter and her husband, Carolyn and Harold Linden: three brothers, Stanley Pecaut, Wayne Pecaut and his wife, Dorothy ad Darrel Pecaut; a sister, LaVonne Struck; two grandchildren, John Treptow and Connie Rydberg; two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Pecaut.

Pallbearers will be John Treptow, Don and Connie Rydberg, Jerry Weldon, Miles Patton Jr., Wayne Flickinger and Lowell Cooper.

Memorials in her name may be directed to United Presbyterian Church in Denison and American Cancer Society.
