Clarence M. Cline, 77, of Sioux City died Thursday, November 11, 1999 at a Sioux City Hospital.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel with the Rev. Fred Morrison of First Church of the Nazarene officiating. Visiting will be 4 to 8 p.m. today with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Cline was born March 15, 1922 in Naper, Nebraska, the son of Perry W. and Verna (Thiebault) Cline. He was employed as a production worker for Sioux Quality.

He married Viola I. Woehl on November 20, 1942 in O’Neill, Nebraska. He also farmed in south central South Dakota.

He was a member of A.F.L.C.I.O. Union.

Survivors include his wife; five sons and their wives, Norman and Pat of Sioux City, Melvin and Dorothy of Fresno, California, David and Lisa of Sioux City, Jim and Judy of Lacy, Washington and Donald and Julie of Hawarden, Iowa; three daughters, Joann and her husband, William Henry of Sioux City, Judy Durbin of Sioux City and Janice and her husband, Dan Purk of Tama, Iowa, a brother, Wilbert Cline; 27 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; a great-great- granddaughter; several nieces and nephews and a special friend, Diana Pike.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, a sister, a grandson and a great-grandson.

Memorials in his name may be directed to American Lung Association.
