Clara Frances Miller, 81, of Sioux City died Friday, November 12, 1999 in Sioux City after a lengthy illness.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Nativity Catholic Church, with the Rev. Gerald Feierfeil officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 6 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 4 p.m. at Christy-smith Funeral Home- Morningside Chapel.

Rs. Miller was born January 1, 1918 at Bantry, North Dakota, the daughter of Frank and Anna (Stus) Mackowski. She lived in Sioux City since 1957.

She married Edward A. Miller on February 6, 1936 at Detroit. He died on August 9, 1994. In 1996 she moved to Countryside Retirement Home.

She worked as a seamstress for various businesses and later went on her own.

She was a member of Nativity Catholic Church.

Survivors include a daughter and her husband, Janet and Lester Levin of Sioux City; two sisters; Stella Hahn of Los Gatos, California and Bernice Lawniczak of Cherokee, Iowa; a brother, Lewis Mackowski of Bellflower, California, two granddaughters; Carla Rodawig and Shanna Moores; three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by three brothers; Leo, John and Julius and a sister, Celia.
