Esther C. Kelly, 93, of Elk Point, South Dakota, formerly of Sioux City died Thursday, November 11, 1999 at Prairie Estates Care Center.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel, with the Rev. Alan Wicks of First Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Kelly was born October 30, 1906, in rural Beadle County, South Dakota, the daughter of Christian and Anna (Anderson) Norby.

She married James Kelly of Wessington, South Dakota on December 13, 1924. The couple farmed near Salix, Iowa. He died in February of 1962. She moved to Sioux City in 1963.

She was a member of First Lutheran Church, Elizabeth Circle, Alter Guild, Golden Agers Group and the Gospel Mission Auxiliary.

Survivors include a nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.
