Donnabelle Gene Fisher, 73, of Sioux City died Thursday November 18, 1999 at her residence.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at First Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Alan Wicks officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m. at Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel.

Mrs. Fisher was born December 24, 1925 in Yankton, South Dakota, the daughter of Charles and Clara (Tollakson) Mason. She attended Sioux City schools and graduated from Central High School in 1943. In 1943, she began employment with Northwestern Bell for several years.

She married Alfa Fisher on October 23, 1948 in Sioux City. She was a homemaker.

She was a member of First Lutheran Church, where she served as church historian on the anniversity committee and the capital campaign “Safe at First Heading for Home.” She was a member of First Lutheran Church Women, Rachel Circle, where she was a past treasurer, Couples and Singles Club, Son’s of Norway, Scandinavian Societies, Telephone Pioneers and St. Luke’s Regional Medical Center Auxiliary.

She enjoyed genealogy and was a former member of the P.T.A.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Steven and his wife, Leanne of Ponca, Nebraska and John of Sioux City; four daughters and their husbands, Linda and Rick Dickson of Phoenix, Marilyn and Douglas dirks of Sergeant Bluff, Shirley and Kurt Nelson of Irvine, California and Julie and Frank Holtry of Gilbert, Arizona; 14 grandchildren, a great-granddaughter and 10 nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Steven Paul Fisher.
