Note: His mother's maiden name was Buck and he was actually born in 1897 about 4 months before his father died. After his father's death his mother married a man with the last name Farrin.

L. W. 'Mac' Magee

Leonard W. "Mac" Magee, died Friday evening at a Sioux City hospital after a long illness.

Mr. Magee was born June 15, 1898 (1897), at Akron, Iowa. He moved to Sioux City in 1919 and married Linda C. Sager Feb. 22, 1921, in Sioux City.

Mr. Magee drove a Sioux City Transit System bus for 24 years, and he also was employed as a carpet layer for 44 years, retiring in 1972.

Survivors include the widow; four sons, Leomone of Indianapolis, Ind., Leonard Jr. of Long Beach, Calif., Robert of Springfield, Ore., and Keith of Sioux City; two daughters, Mrs. Lois Kauspedas and Mrs. Lloyd (Sharon) Shapley, both of Sioux City; two brothers, Theodore Farrin of Sioux City and Ralph Farrin Portland, Ore.; three sisters, Mrs. Nellie Fletcher and Mrs. Jessie Erwin, both of Sioux City, and Mrs. Ottis (Maggie) Abott of Ponca, Neb.; 25 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The body was taken to the W. Harry Christy Funeral Home in Moringside.

Services for L. W. "Mac" Magee, 76, will be at 10 a. m. Wednesday at the W. Harry Christy Funeral Home in Morningside. The Rev. Elmer J. Yates, pastor of the Central Assembly of God Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbears, all grandsons, will be Gary Allen, Robert and Leonard Jr. Magee, Bruce and Keith Kauspedas, and Larry Joe Junwirth.
Mr. Magee died Friday night at Sioux City hospital after a long illness.
