Prominent Banker Dead.
George Weare, president of the Iowa State National bank and one of the best known bankers in the West, died after an operation for intestinal trouble six weeks ago, which disclosed an incurable condition. Mr. Weare was seventy-three years old. He was the oldest resident of Sioux City, arriving there in 1850.

Transcriber’s Noe: Find a Grave shows he is buried in Floyd Cemetery and was born December 3, 1834 and died November 5, 1908.
