Sloan, Iowa – Ila J. Ping, 55, of Sloan, died Saturday, September 11, 1993, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Skien Lutheran Church, Albaton, Iowa, with the Rev. Peter Boe officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery at Albaton. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today at the Wood Funeral Home in Sloan.

Mrs. Ping, the former Ila J. Foss, was born July 25, 1938, in Soldier, Iowa. She married Cleo Ping.

She was a member of Skien Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her mother, Edith Foss of Onawa; her husband; a son, Michael and his wife Patricia of Salix; a daughter, Carla Ping of Sioux City; two grandchildren, Aryn and Aric Ping of Salix; a brother Gordon Foss of Soldier.

She was preceded in death by her father, Oscar.
