26 October 2008SIOUX CITY -- Arlene L. Musgrove, 81, of Sioux City died Thursday, Oct. 23, 2008, at a Blue Springs, Mo., hospital following a brief illness.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at First Lutheran Church in Sioux City, with the Rev. Alan Wicks officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 3 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Condolences may be sent online to www.meyerbroschapels.com.
Arlene was born June 5, 1927, in Laurel, Neb., to Clifford and Christine (Friedrich) Loeb. She grew up in Carroll, Neb., and Laurel, and graduated from Laurel High School in 1946.
She married Samuel Musgrove on Oct. 22, 1966, in Sioux City. He died Dec. 30, 1986, in Sioux City. Arlene worked at various businesses in Sioux City over the years. She owned and operated Me Too Consignment Shop and later worked for Memory Lane Flea Market.
She was very active at First Lutheran Church and served on the church circles. She was a member of the PEO, Chapter IL and the Red Hat Society, the Crimson Glorys. Arlene enjoyed going to the Community Theater with her friends. She also enjoyed dining out with a very special group of friends.
Survivors include two sons, Jeff A. Norby and his wife, Lauri of Sioux City, and Paul M. Musgrove and his wife, Julie of Blue Springs, Mo.; a brother, Eugene "Bud" Loeb and his wife, Rosalea of Elburn, Ill; a sister, Delores Buss and her husband, Robert of Laurel, Neb.; and seven grandchildren, Aaron Cain and his wife, Ashli, Richard Norby, Makenzie Musgrove, Kylie Musgrove, Caleb Brainard, Joel Stuart and Jessica Stuart.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Pallbearers will be Aaron Cain, Bryan Buss, Roger Loeb and Alan Loeb.
Memorials may be made in Arlene's name to First Lutheran Church in Sioux City.
