SIOUX CITY -- Kathleen Lucille Plummer, 87, of Sioux Falls, S.D., formerly of Sioux City, passed away Monday, Oct. 27, 2008, at the Good Samaritan Luther Manor in Sioux Falls.

Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at St. Luke Lutheran Church in Sioux City. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Barnett-Lewis Funeral Home in Sioux Falls. Condolences may be sent online to barnett-lewisfuneralhome.com.

Kathleen was born Feb. 2, 1921, to Frank and Louise (Anderson) Young in Osseo, Wis. She graduated from high school in Sioux City.

In May 1942, she was united in marriage to Dean V. Plummer in Sioux City. She had been a resident of Sioux Falls for the past several years and wintered in Phoenix, Ariz.

She was a charter member of St. Luke Lutheran Church in Sioux City.

She is survived by her daughters, Diane Gerjets of Sioux Falls and Susan Plummer (Rich Roadlander) of Phoenix, Ariz.; a sister, Sarah Fink of Sioux City; two grandchildren, Shannan (Brent) Dodds of Chaska, Minn., and Paedra Gerjets of Sioux Falls; and two great-grandchildren, Brock and Tori.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dean; a brother, Sherm Young; and a sister, Marjorie Carter.
