Dorothy Liddell, 92, of Sioux City for the last 12 years, formerly of Santa Clara, Calif., died Saturday, April 12, 2008, at Bickford Cottage.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Santa Clara Missions Cemetery, Santa Clara, Calif. There will be no local services. Local arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Condolences may be sent online to www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Mrs. Liddell was born Aug. 5, 1915, in Omaha, the daughter of Harry and Georgia (Edson) Wilson. She graduated from high school in Salt Lake City, Utah.

She married Billy B. Liddell on March 26, 1947, in Elko, Nev. He preceded her in death in June 1983. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include two daughters, Shirley (Jim) Shawver of Thayne, Wyo., and Janet (Joe) Subia of Boise, Idaho; two sons, Rick (Shannon) Liddell of Dakota Dunes, S.D., and Brent (Laurene) Liddell of Vancouver, Wash.; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Lucia Wilson of Boise, Idaho.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and two brothers.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Fund.
