15 April 2008Millie Reich, 89, of rural Sioux City died Saturday, April 12, 2008, at a Sioux City hospital.
Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Dugan Kramer Funeral Home in Scottsbluff, Neb. Burial will be in Minatare East Lawn Cemetery, Minatare, Neb. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Millie was born April 27, 1919, in Chicago, Ill., to Wilhemina and Gottlieb Kraus. She was married to Alex Reich on Aug. 11, 1934, in Harrisburg, Neb. They farmed south of Morrill, Neb. for many years. She moved to Scottsbluff after her husband's death. In 2002, she moved to Sioux City to be closer to her family.
She was a member of First Federated Church in Mitchell, Neb. Spending time with her family was very important to her. She attended First Methodist Church in Hinton, Iowa, and enjoyed having lunch with friends from "club".
Survivors include her son and his wife, Ron and Suzy of Sioux City; four grandchildren, Erica Reich Lembke and her husband, Gary of Columbia, Mo., JD Reich and his wife, Allison of Ames, Iowa, Brad Reich and his wife, Cindy of Everett, Wash., and Tory Reich of Las Vegas, Nev.; a great-grandson, Jack Reich of Ames, Iowa; a brother, Fred Kraus of Scottsbluff, Neb.; two daughters-in-law, Cheryl Bills of Alliance, Neb., and Marilyn Rigby of Stanwood, Wash.; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Alex; two sons, Delbert and Terry Reich; and four sisters, Emma Thompson, Dorothy Nuss, Mollie Vogel and Wilma Woodruff.
