SALIX, Iowa -- Wilma Hall, of Tempe, Ariz., formerly of Salix, died Jan. 15, 2008, following a brief illness.

Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Salix, with the Rev. O'Kane officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Wilma Hall was born Nov. 18, 1923, in Sioux City. She grew up and lived most of her life in and around Salix. She had nine brothers and sisters and was the twin to her brother, Wayne "Bud" Parsley.

She married Jim Hall on April 19, 1944, at the U.S. Navy Base in Oakland, Calif. After World War II, they moved with their daughter, Judy, to the Salix area, where their son, Greg, was born. The couple lived on the farm until their retirement, then moved into to Salix. Upon the death of her husband, Jim, she moved to the Phoenix, Ariz., area, where she lived with her son, Greg, until her death.

Survivors include her daughter and her husband, Judy Hall Beacom and John from Canyon Lake, Texas; her son, Greg Hall of Tempe, Ariz.; five grandchildren, Debi Nasis and her husband, Sean of San Antonio, Texas, John of Austin, Texas, Michelle and James of San Antonio and Kris Becker and her husband, Jim of the St. Louis, Mo., area; her son, Greg Hall of Tempe, Ariz.; and six great-grandchildren, Ashlie and Trey Becker, Mikayla, Kaitlyn, Allyson and Bryson Nasis.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Harry Parsley of Oakland, Calif., Bruce Parsley of Denver, Colo., and Darrel Parsley of Sergeant Bluff.

The family is asking for memorials to be given to your local church for masses or for Alzheimer's research.
