3 November 2008SIOUX CITY -- Martha T. Albright, 79, of Sioux City passed away Friday, Oct. 30, 2008, at her residence.
Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, with the Rev. Daniel C. Guenther officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. today, with a rosary at 6 p.m., and a Scriptural wake service at 7 p.m., at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service.
Martha was born on Aug. 25, 1929, in Sioux City, the daughter of Walter and Antoinette (Krajewski) Siekaniec. She attended school at St. Francis. She worked at her father's restaurant, Johnson's Cafe, until her marriage to William G. Albright. He died on Sept. 19, 1991.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception and was very supportive of the missionaries of the church. Martha was a homemaker and was a very generous person. She devoted her life to the physical and spiritual welfare of her children and grandchildren. She prided herself in giving them her most precious gift, the gift of prayer. Martha also loved all of God's animals and was well known for taking in any strays she found at her door, feeding them and making sure her precious wild birds had food outdoors.
Martha is survived by her three sons, James Albright and his wife, Kathy, Tony Albright and his wife, Julie and Peter Albright and his wife, Tricia; a daughter, Carmelita and her husband, Carl Stoltze, all of Sioux City; 20 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Carmelita Lennon of Lily Dale, Minn., Jean White of Florida, and Elizabeth Siekaniec of Chicago, Ill.; and a daughter-in-law, Janice Albright of North Sioux City.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Steven Albright; her brothers, Rev. Ladislas, Edward, Carl and Joseph; and her sisters, Emily and Mary.
