ANTHON, Iowa -- Florine Huffman, 77, of Anthon died Sunday, Nov. 30, 2008, at her residence in Anthon.

There will be no services. Private family graveside services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Armstrong Funeral Home in Anthon.

Florine Frieda Huffman was born Nov. 5, 1931, in Mapleton, Iowa, the daughter of Raymond and Frieda (Weifenbach) Kurth. She graduated from Mapleton High School in 1949.

She married Charles "Bob" Huffman on April 10, 1950, in Mapleton. The couple lived in the Anthon area for 58 years. She worked as a bookkeeper for a number of businesses until her retirement.

Survivors include her husband, Bob; her children, Debbie and her husband, Gary Finnaman of Anthon, Byron and his wife, Barb of Anthon, Stan and his wife, Kerry of Correctionville, Iowa, Cynthia Ketelsen of Anthon and Mark and his friend, Jill Howard of Anthon; a brother and his wife, Ray and Carol Kurth of Murrietta, Calif.; 13 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Jake Huffman; and a sister and her husband, Luella and Bud Collins.

She will be missed by her family and friends.
