Margaret Webster, 88, formerly of Sioux City passed away Monday, Nov. 18, 2002, in Silverton, Ore.

Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at First Christian Church in Salem, Ore.

Margaret Baier was born Jan. 9, 1914, in Onawa, Iowa. She attended Buena Vista College in Storm Lake, Iowa, and graduated from the University of Iowa in 1936.

She married Bruce Webster in September 1939, and after World War II, they settled in Sioux City. Starting in 1959, she taught at South Sioux City High School for 15 years. She was an active member of First Congregational Church. In 1973, she and Bruce moved to Salem, Ore., where she taught at Chemeketa Community College for 11 years.

Survivors include Dr. Ann Webster-Shepherd of New York City, John Webster of Silverton, Ore., and Linda Webster of Vernonia, Ore.; and two grandchildren, Sarah Roth and Joel Webster.
