Douglas J. Thibodeau, 37, of Mesa, Ariz., formerly of Sioux City, died Thursday, Nov. 21, 2002, in Mesa.

Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, at St. Thomas Moore Catholic Church in Brookings, S.D. Mariposa Gardens Memorial Park & Funeral Care of Mesa is serving the family.

Douglas Thibodeau was born July 23, 1965, in Sioux City, to Gary A. and Emogene (McCarville) Thibodeau. Doug grew up in Brookings and was a 1983 graduate of Brookings High School. He had resided in Arizona for some 15 years, working in sales and at Turf Paradise in Ahwatukee, Ariz.

Survivors include his parents, Gary and Emogene Thibodeau, of River Falls, Wis.; a sister, Beth Thibodeau of Roseville, Minn.; and his loving aunt and uncle, Bonnie and Bill Kelley of Onawa, Iowa.

A Douglas J. Thibodeau Memorial Scholarship has been established for a Brookings High School graduate intending to major in English, speech or music at South Dakota State University. Contributions may be made to South Dakota State University Foundation, Brookings, SD 57007.
