Pearl K. Grinde, 86, of Aurora, Colo., formerly of Sioux City, died Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2002, at Sable Care Center in Aurora.

Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel in Sioux City.

Pearl Grinde was born in Wisconsin on March 19, 1916.

She married Ernest Grinde in 1934 in Wisconsin. They farmed in that area for many years and then moved to Sioux City in 1957. Pearl retired from St. Vincent School of Nursing, Housekeeping Department in 1977, after 20 years of service.

Survivors include a son, James Grinde and his wife, Pat of Aurora; a daughter, Mrs. Lowell (Sharon) Schiefen of Kerrville, Texas; two sisters, Leora Olson and Mrs. Glenn (Marie) Olson, both of Wisconsin; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Don Hessler (Lucille) of Wisconsin; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ernest; and three brothers.
