LE MARS, Iowa -- Katie L. Mortenson, 7-month-old daughter of Billy Mortenson and Erica Moon of Le Mars, died Friday, Nov. 22, 2002, at University of Iowa Hospital from a lifelong illness.

Services will be 3 p.m. today at Nelson-Berger Morningside Chapel in Sioux City, with the Rev. A.T. Washington officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sioux City. Visitation will be 2 p.m. until service time today at the funeral home.

Katie was born March 30, 2002, in Sioux City, the daughter of Billy Mortenson and Erica Moon.

Survivors include her parents; maternal grandparents, Robert and Reba Moon of Le Mars; her paternal grandmother, Sandra Mortenson of Onawa, Iowa; a sister, Ashley Mortenson; a half brother, Dillan Belt; five uncles, Jeff, Danny, Mike and Bobby Mortenson and Aaron Moon; and two aunts, Angie Mortenson and Renee Kline.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Andrew, and her paternal grandfather, Robert Mortenson.
