Harriett C. Sve, 83, of Sioux City died Monday, November 15, 1999, at Sunrise Retirement Community of Alzheimer’s disease.

There are no services panned. Arrangements are under the direction of Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel.

Miss Sve was born May 28, 1916, in Sioux City, the daughter of Haftor and Lillian (Waldum) Sve. She graduated from Central High School and attended Ward-Belmont School for one year.

She was employed with Toller Drug Store for a while.

She was a member of First Christian Church and Women’s Professional Business Association. She was a volunteer with St. Luke’s Regional Medical Center Auxiliary for many years.

Survivors include two sisters, Dr. Janice Sve and Helen Hilger, both of Sioux City, three nephews, Dierk Breytspraak, Chapin Holman and Carter Holman and three nieces, Cathy Ratliff, Nancy Brothers and Julie Frey.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Currier Holman.
