19 April 2005Dorothy Ellen (Wolf) Graves, 72, of Westfield, Iowa, formerly of Sioux City and South Sioux City, died unexpectedly Saturday, April 16, 2005, at her residence.
Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Sioux City Baptist Church, with the Rev. James Pointer officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. and a prayer service at 6:30 p.m., at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.
Mrs. Graves was born July 31, 1932, in South Sioux City, the daughter of Henry and Margaret (Rymill) Wolf.
She married Donald Duane Graves on Nov. 5, 1954, in South Sioux City. She had been a resident of Westfield for the past 40 years. At one time, she worked at Class Produce. Later, she was employed with Aalfs Manufacturing. More recently, she worked at Dairy Queen.
She was a member of Sioux City Baptist Church and enjoyed cooking and baking.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Donald; her mother, Margaret Wolf of Allen, Neb.; four children, Dale Graves and his wife, Julie of Homer, Neb., Donalee Dailey of Moville, Iowa, Douglas Graves of Sioux City and Daniel Graves of Sioux City; five brothers and sisters, Lawrence Wolf of Ponca, Neb., Carol and her husband, Wayne Chase of Allen, Neb., Percy Wolf and his wife, Jeannie of Dakota City, Janice and her husband, Jerry Graves of Sioux City and Sue Collier of Columbus, Neb.; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father; a sister, Marjorie Snow; and a brother, James Wolf.
Pallbearers will be Shannon Wolf, Chad DeRaad, Nick Oehlerking, Buddy Graves, Ted Hayden and Rusty Frigge.
