Dale E. Morey, 60, of Sioux City died Thursday, April 14, 2005, at his son's residence in rural Vermillion, S.D.

Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Tuesday in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Iverson-Siecke Funeral Home in Vermillion.

Dale E. Morey was born Feb. 20, 1945, in Sioux City, the son of Herbert and Ella (Guern) Morey. He attended Sioux City schools. He served in the U.S. Army from 1967 to 1971.

He married Mary K. Andersen on Dec. 2, 1967. She died Feb. 28, 2003. Dale was a welder for Wilson Trailer Co.

He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Sioux City and the National Rifle Association.

Survivors include his sons, Michael and his wife, Monica Morey of Vermillion, Mark Morey of New Orleans, La. and Stephen Morey of Springfield, Mo.; grandsons, Sean and Tyler; and a granddaughter, Makayla, all of Vermillion.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and brothers, Gerald, Herbert and Glenn Morey.
