PIERSON, Iowa -- Marjorie E. Farber, 95, of Sioux City, formerly of Pierson, Iowa, died Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2005, at Bickford Cottage in Sioux City.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Pierson United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Pierson. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. today with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m., and a prayer service at 7 p.m. at the Rohde-Earnest Funeral Home, Kingsley, Iowa.

Marjorie was born Aug. 30, 1910, rural Washta, Iowa, the daughter of Leroy and Mary E. (Thomson) Pease. She grew up in the Washta area graduating from high school in 1928. She married Leo Farber Nov. 12, 1934 in South Sioux City, Neb.

After their marriage, Leo and Marjorie lived in Aurelia, Iowa. In 1936 they moved to Pierson where they owned and operated the International Farm Implement dealership over 40 years and the Allis Chalmers Farm Implement dealership for 10 years. After retirement they continued to live in Pierson until Leo passed away May 11, 1998. Following Leo's death, Marjorie moved to Sioux City to be closer to her family.

She was a member of the Pierson United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Dorothy Blackburn and her husband, Louis, of Norway, Iowa, and Helen Mahaney of Sioux City and one son, Don Farber and his wife, Mona, of Bonita Springs, Fla.; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Bill Pease and his wife, Evalyn, of Cherokee, Iowa; one sister, Charlotte Brownlee of Fairfield, Iowa; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Margaret and Leo Handke of Anthon, Iowa, and a sister-in-law, Marjorie Farber of Moville, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Leo.
