Helen B. Cooper, 79, of Sioux City died Saturday, Dec. 3, 2005, at a Sioux City hospital following a brief illness.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Boniface Catholic Church, with the Rev. James Bruch officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. and a vigil service at 7 p.m., at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.

Helen was born Jan. 14, 1926, in Denver, Colo., the daughter of Lloyd and Catherine (Meyers) Borden. She had lived in Sioux City since 1957. She worked at Interbake Foods for about 16 years.

She was a longtime member of St. Boniface Catholic Church and the Rosary Society. She was also active in the Eucharistic Adoration. She enjoyed bingo and traveling.

Survivors include a grandson, Ryan Cooper; several cousins; and a special friend, Linda Foster.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a son, James Cooper.

Pallbearers will be Jim Meyers, Chuck Meyers, Paul Prather, Bob Zobel, Dan Moore and Todd Robinson.
