6 December 2005SERGEANT BLUFF -- Viola Margarete Lamb, 87, of Sergeant Bluff died Saturday, Dec. 3, 2005, in Sioux City.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Augustana Lutheran Church in Sioux City, with the Rev. Del L. Olivier officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel.
Mrs. Lamb was born April 9, 1918, in Sioux City, the daughter of Adolph and Iva (Copenhaver) Fink. She was raised in rural Woodbury County and graduated from East High School in 1936.
He married Brenton Lamb on Dec. 20, 1945, in Sioux City. He passed away Aug. 8, 2005. She lived her entire life in Woodbury County. The couple moved into Sioux City from their farm in 1964. She was employed by Drs. Fynan and Seivert's Chiropractic Office as a receptionist for more than 11 years.
She was a member of Woodbury County 4-H girls committee and the Piece Corp at Augustana Lutheran Church. She was very active in the Augustana Lutheran Church.
Survivors include two sisters, Lois and her husband, Henry Hansen of Sioux City and Gladys Peterson of Greeley, Colo.; several nieces and nephews; and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Brenton Lamb; her parents; a brother, Earl Fink; a brother-in-law, Earl Peterson; and a niece, Irene Scherf.
Memorials may be directed to Augustana Lutheran Church.
