SOUTH SIOUX CITY -- Margery Ellen Hurley, 87, of South Sioux City passed away Sunday, Nov. 6, 2005 at her residence.

Family graveside services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday in Graceland Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Becker-Hunt Funeral Home.

Margery was born Jan. 14, 1918, in Sumner, Neb., the daughter of George W. and Grace (Gilbert) Shepardson. She grew up in Sumner, lived in Ewing, Neb., and was a resident of the South Sioux City area since 1959.

She married Ronald Roby on Jan. 18, 1934. She later married Park E. Hurley on April 13, 1959, in Elk Point, S.D. He died Sept. 11, 1961, in Tariko, Mo. She worked in several restaurants, Zenith and retired from Iowa Beef.

Survivors include three daughters and their husbands, Ellen and James Conley of South Sioux City, Betty and Glenn Housh of Monroe, Ore., and Janice and Kenneth Preister of Lindsay, Neb.; a son, Larry and his wife, Sue Roby of Veneta, Ore.; 18 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Shirley; two sisters; two brothers; and four grandsons.

Pallbearers will be Paul Conley, Larry Roby, Victor Estrada, Kenny and Jeremy Preister and Jim Hurley.
