Conmey Dale "Con" Camerer, 56, of Sioux City went to his heavenly home Sunday, Nov. 6, 2005, surrounded by his family at his residence after a long and courageous battle with heart and lung disease.

Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Morningside Bible Church, with the Rev. Terry Embke officiating. Entombment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at BeckernHunt Funeral Home.

Con was born Feb. 6, 1949, in Sergeant Bluff, the son of Ralph E. "Dempsey" and Marjorie (Morris) Camerer. He attended South Sioux City Schools. He was employed at local meatpacking plants and was also employed as a car salesman in Minnesota for two years, returning to Sergeant Bluff in 1991.

He married Kathy R. Muecke June 10, 1994, in Elk Point, S.D.

He attended Morningside Bible Church in Sioux City. He was an avid Husker Fan and enjoyed working on old Chevys.

Survivors include his wife Kathy; a son, Ralph M. and his fiancee, Laura Macklem of Sioux City; a daughter, Tamie Lynn and her husband, Scott Clayton of Sioux City; three stepdaughters, Lori and Chad Tague of Daytona, Fla., Lisa and Bob Schmidt and Krista Muecke, all of Sioux City; three brothers, Morris and Betty Camerer of Seattle, Wash., Marv and Vickie Camerer of South Sioux City and Ronnie Camerer of Burbank, S.D.; a sister, Cheri "Kim" Camerer and her special friend, Rocky Hoover of Sioux City; three grandchildren, Austin Clayton, Samantha and Jessica Camerer; three step grandchildren, Mariah and Cody Tague and Malia Schmidt and his mother, Marge Winchester of South Sioux City.

His father preceded him in death.

His two canine companions Chevy and Princess will miss him.

Pallbearers will be Mike King, Rocky Hoover, Bob Schmidt, Scott Clayton, Randy Edwards and Denny Whitmore. Honorary pallbearers will be Mark and Marvin Camerer Jr., Colby Camerer and Kyle Beltz.
