Patrick C. "Pete" Horn, 49, of Sioux City died unexpectedly Friday, Nov. 4, 2005, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. James A. Bruch of St. Boniface Catholic Church officiating. Following cremation, there will be a private interment in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 3 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.

Patrick C. Horn was born Aug. 30, 1956, in Sioux City, the son of Gilbert "Charles" and Claire Louise (Phipps) Horn. He was a lifelong Sioux City resident.

He married Simone C. Juarez on Oct. 26, 1974, in Sioux City. At one time, Patrick was employed in the maintenance departments at several local packinghouses. Later, he worked in galvanizing at L & R Communications and more recently, he drove a semi truck.

Patrick enjoyed camping and was an avid fisherman and motorcyclist. He loved restoring Chevrolets.

Survivors include his wife, Simone; his mother, Claire Horn of Sioux City; two daughters, Mendi Stansbury and her husband Brent and Lisa Horn and her fiance, Sandro Reynosa, all of Sioux City; a brother and his wife, James and Judy Horn of Sioux City; two sisters, Patricia Berger of Riverside, Iowa, and JoAnn Phillips and her special friend, Vern Gries of Sioux City; and five grandchildren, Megan Clift, Shannon Clift, Brent Stansbury Jr., Leah Stansbury and Daisy Reynosa.

He was preceded in death by his father; a niece, Lynn Berger; and a nephew, Mark Berger.

Honorary pallbearers will be Brent Stansbury, Sandro Reynosa, Tony Juarez, Frankie Juarez, James Horn, Doug Crooks, Gary Moore and Corey Shultz.
