Reva M. Harder, 65, of Sioux City died Monday, Oct. 31, 2005, at a Sioux City hospital following a battle with lung cancer.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Calvary Lutheran Church, with the Rev. David A. Schoop officiating. Burial will be in Silver Ridge Cemetery, rural Ponca, Neb. Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m. with Chaplain Stacey Gerhart of St. Luke's Regional Medical Center officiating, all at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.

Reva was born Aug. 16, 1940, in Onawa, Iowa, the daughter of Melvin S. and Vera M. (Adams) Cogdill.

She married Kenneth R. Harder on March 19, 1960, in South Sioux City. She worked at the Sunshine Food Markets for 31 years. More recently, she was employed at St. Luke's Regional Medical Center for 13 years.

She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church. She enjoyed camping with her husband and children, as well as Mark and Teresa Harder and kids. Her hobbies included going to rummage sales, bingo and bowling.

Survivors include her husband, Kenneth; a son and his wife, Brian and Annette Harder of Anthon, Iowa; a daughter, Christine Angerman and her special friend, Heath Rask of Sioux City; three brothers, Robert Cogdill of Onawa, Iowa, Stephen Cogdill and his wife, Barbara of Sioux City and Glenn Cogdill of California; four sisters, Marlene Howard of Colorado, Sandy Zalaco and her special friend, Jack Condon of California, Judy and her husband, Mark Smith of Colorado, and Linda and her husband, Charles Miller of Oregon; six grandchildren, Tiffany Gagnon and her fiance, Jeff Miller, Bonnie Gagnon, Christopher Gagnon and his special friend, Bridgett DeRochie, Fred Gagnon, Lori Harder and her fiance, Brandon Wessendorf and Fred Harder; four great-grandchildren and one on the way; a sister-in-law, Glaydas Cogdill of Washington; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Ray Cogdill; and a sister-in-law, Joyce Cogdill.

Pallbearers will be Christopher Gagnon, Fred Gagnon, Austin Harder, Jarett Delfs, Brendon Howard and Steve Cogdill
