Mary Margaret "Peggy" Reynolds, 80, of Sioux City died Saturday, Oct. 29, 2005, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Cathedral of The Epiphany, with the Rev. Paul-Louis Arts officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery at Salix, Iowa. Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., a 4 p.m. rosary by Catholic Daughters of America and a vigil service at 7 p.m., at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.

Peggy was born July 16, 1925, in Waterbury, Neb., the daughter of Peter and Loretta (Gill) Frank. She graduated from St. Catherine's High School in Jackson, Neb.

She married Laurence V. Reynolds on Feb. 6, 1945, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Jackson. After their marriage, the couple farmed in the Salix-Luton area. They relocated to Sioux City in 1958.

She was a member of the Cathedral of The Epiphany, the Altar Society, Catholic Daughters of America and the Legion of Mary. She was a foster parent for Catholic Charities. She enjoyed traveling, bird watching and her rose garden. Peggy was very devoted to her family.

Survivors include her husband of over 60 years, Laurence; eight daughters, Laurie Helmer and her husband, Don of Santa Fe, N.M., Debbie Flynn and her husband, Tom of Enterprise, Ala., Peggy "P.J." Hall and her husband, Jim of Omaha, Neb., Sidonie Reynolds of Dallas, Texas, Mary Kaye Reynolds of Salix, Iowa, Nora Lerer and her husband, Harvey of Pacific Palisades, Calif., Jackie Hoebelheinrich and her husband, Steve of Mesa, Ariz. and Lisa Mark and her fiance, Steve Uhl of Sioux City; a son, Laurence J. Reynolds of Santa Monica, Calif.; a sister, Mary Hirsch of Sioux City; 17 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a dear friend, Betty Collins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant daughter, Mary Margaret; two brothers, James and Merle Frank; three sisters, Betty Capera, Leola DeRoin and Monica Bradish; and a son-in-law, Tom Mark.

Pallbearers will be Ryan Flynn, Ben Hall, Adam Hall, Gene DeRoin, Alan Bradish and Bobby Frank.
