Dwayne Scott Castle, 39, of Sioux City passed away early Saturday, April 2, 2005, at a Sioux City hospital following a brief illness.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, with Bishop Mark Walker officiating. The body will be cremated following the service Thursday. Burial will be at a later date. Visitation will be 9 a.m. until service time Thursday at the church. A luncheon will follow the service. Arrangements are under the direction of Larkin Northside Funeral Home.

Dwayne was born Jan. 1, 1966, in Sioux City, the son of Alice and Richard Lade. He attended Sioux City Public Schools.

He was a member of the Friendship House and in the peers group at the Mary Treglia Community Center. He also bowled with the Disabled Rollers League and his team was sponsored by Don's Pro Shop from 1994 to 2005.

He collected teddy bears and enjoyed fishing and being outdoors. He also enjoyed working on mechanical things. He worked part-time for Goodwill Industries, the Rocket Car Wash and cleaning offices at Terra Chemical Corp. He also was a bell ringer at Christmas time.

He married Cindy Durbin on June 9, 1997. They had one child, Travis Castle, who was born Nov. 29, 1997. He loved Travis with all his heart and soul.

He is survived by his son, Travis Castle of Sioux City; his mother and father, Alice and Richard Lade of Sioux City; two sisters, Roxanne Lade and her fiance, Joe McKenzie of Sioux City and Dawn Lade of Sergeant Bluff; three stepsiblings, Teresa Kisling of Jefferson, S.D., Mark Lade of Hinton, Iowa, and Kevin Lade and his wife, Tina of Kansas City, Mo.; a maternal grandmother, Alva Retta Castle of Sioux City; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other distant family members and good friends who loved and will miss him very much.

He was preceded in death by a younger brother, Daniel Castle; and his grandfather, Howard Castle.
