DAKOTA CITY -- Janice M. Clark, 66, of rural Dakota City passed away at her residence Sunday, April 3, 2005, following a courageous four-year battle with cancer.

Services will be 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Salem Lutheran Church in rural Dakota City, with the Rev. Karen Kaye officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, with a prayer service at 6 p.m., at Becker-Hunt Funeral Home.

Janice was born in rural Dakota City to Floyd V. and Mabel B. (Goodwin) Loux. She graduated from South Sioux City High School in 1957.

She married her high school sweetheart Floyd E. Clark on June 4, 1960, in South Sioux City. She was Women of the Year and past president of Metro and Hawkeye Chapters of the American Business Women's Association (ABWA). She retired in 2000 after 20 years at Siouxland National Bank.

She loved to watch and feed birds, propagate plants and flowers. She enjoyed camping, cooking and cherished time with family and her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Floyd; two daughters and their husbands, Teralynn Clark Wilson and Brian Wilson of Watertown, S.D., and LuAnn and Tracy McClarnon of Bellevue, Neb.; and three grandchildren, Liam and Aislin McClarnon and Noah Wilson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Lloyd "John"; a sister, Dorothy; and a stepfather, Carl Speulda.
