James H. Kuecker, 75, of Sun City, Ariz., formerly of Sioux City, passed away Thursday, March 31, 2005, following a lengthy illness.

Jim was born May 1, 1929, in Wittemore, Iowa. He served in the U.S. Navy for two years.

He married Gloria Mikes of West Bend, Iowa, on July 14, 1949. He worked for more than 40 years in the meat industry.

He was active with the Shriners White Horse Patrol in Sioux City. He loved to golf and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria of Sun City; a daughter and her husband, Debbie and David Krecklow of Lincoln, Neb.; two sons, Marty of Phoenix, Ariz., and Jeff and his wife, Patricia of McCook Lake, S.D.; a brother, Stan Kuecker of Beldon, Mo.; two sisters, Joyce Jensen of Denver, Colo., and Jerri Thule of Algona, Iowa; eight grandchildren, Caleb and his wife, Lynei, Adam and Sarah Krecklow, Brandon, Brent and Britt Marie Kuecker and Josh and his wife, Kylee and Summer Kuecker; and a great-granddaughter, Calyn Krecklow.
