Astrid Evangeline Beck, 85, of Sioux City passed away peacefully Friday, Jan. 14, 2005, at Embassy Rehab and Care Center in Sergeant Bluff.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Calvary Lutheran Church, with the Rev. David A. Schoop officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., and a prayer service at 7 p.m., at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.

Astrid was born June 24, 1919, in Lincoln County, Minn., near Lake Benton, the daughter of T.W. and Agnes A. (Johnson) Lundberg.

She married Marlin W.A. Beck on Oct. 2, 1937, at Trinity Lutheran Church near Hinton, Iowa. Marlin preceded her in death on Dec. 31, 1971, in Sioux City. Astrid had been a resident of Sioux City since 1960.

She was a long-time member of Calvary Lutheran Church.

Survivors include six children, Carol Archer and her husband, Lyle of Sioux City, Bettie Johnson and her husband, Robert of Golden, Colo., Gary Beck and his wife, Millie of Keenesburg, Colo., Donald Beck and his wife, LoNeal of Strang, Neb., Pamela Lynch and Dennis Rieken of Lake Placid, Fla. and Lonnie Beck and his wife, Vicki of Minneapolis, Minn.; a son-in-law, Ed Wilson of Lake Placid; a sister, Audrey Moffatt of Copperopolis, Calif.; three brothers, Vernon Lundberg of Franklin, Minn., Valgean Lundberg and his wife, Ilene of Ivanhoe, Minn. and Alfred "Curly" Lundberg and his wife, Joan of Hastings, Minn.; 18 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Shirley Wilson; and a brother, Clinton "Bud" Lundberg.

Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
