Marylou King, 42, of Sioux City died Friday, Jan. 7, 2005, at a local hospital.

Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Anderson-Perasso Funeral Home, with the Rev. Alex T. Washington officiating.

Marylou was born Sept. 3, 1962, to Lowell Derby and Jullia McCue in Sioux City. She attended school in Homer, Neb. She lived with Goldie and Frances Ward, her aunt and uncle, since she was four years old.

Marylou grew up and married Shawn King on June 23, 1983, in Sioux City. She worked at Means Manufacturing for 10 years. She had also worked as a certified nursing assistant. She will be so missed forever. She was one of a kind and could never be replaced. She was very much loved by everyone.

Marylou is survived by her husband, Shawn, of Sioux City; three children, Pamela, Corey and Jeremy; nine sisters and brothers, Suzy and Tony Priest of Little Rock, Ark. and children, Steve, Shona and Mark;, Goldie Henderson of Spokane, Wash. and children, Layla, Ernie, Angel and Summer; Marilyn and Sonny Cooper of Jackson, Neb. and children, Travis and Lindsy; Larry Derby, formerly married to Tracy Winters and now with his partner, Shelly; Karen and Donny Hansen of Anthon, Iowa and children, Kaylee and Starlynn; Sharon and Alfredo of Oklahoma and children, Tiffany, Amber and Roberto, formerly married to Bobby Dowdy; Freddie Derby and his fiancee, Denise Egland and a son, Austin; Renae McCoy and her children, Pam, Jeremy, Keith, Brandon and Christina and Jessie White and his daughter, Jamie; brothers-in-laws, Brent and his wife, Sumiko King, Randy King, Berry King and Nathan King; numerous aunt and uncles, cousins and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Misty; her father, Lowell Derby; her grandmother, Esther McCue; two sisters, Suzy and Goldie; and in-laws, Chuck and Tina King.
