SERGEANT BLUFF -- Linda Diane Choquette, 54, of Sergeant Bluff died Friday, Jan. 7, 2005, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Shepherd of Peace Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Tim Schiller officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery at Salix, Iowa. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., and a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel.

Linda was born on March 14, 1950, in Detroit, Mich., the daughter of Alcide William and Donna G. (Wick) Loisel. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. While in high school, Linda was an honor student and homecoming queen. She graduated from Sergeant Bluff-Luton High School in 1968.

She married David Choquette on Nov. 16, 1968, at McGuire AFB, N.J. The couple lived and traveled across the U.S. and overseas in Europe during their 20-year military life, before retiring in Sergeant Bluff. Linda was a loving homemaker, who was very dedicated to her family. She was known to her friends and family as a gourmet cook and baker, with her family already missing her home-cooked meals.

Survivors include her husband, David Choquette, of Sergeant Bluff; her mother, Donna (Wick) Loisel; three sons, Paul Ramon Choquette of Sergeant Bluff, William John Choquette of Sergeant Bluff and Joshua Choquette and his wife, Joleen, of Sioux City; a daughter and her husband, Nicole and Jeffrey Rajnowski of Farmington, Ark.; two sisters and their husbands, Lois and Norm Plantenberg and Laurel and Tom Tainter, all of Sergeant Bluff; and 10 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Alcide William Loisel; a brother, Larry Loisel; and her grandparents.

Memorials may be directed in care of the family.
