Edwin "Butch" Hollister, 63, of Sioux City died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2005, in Sioux City.

Memorial services will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Westwood Nursing and Rehab Center, 3201 Stone Park Blvd., with the Rev. Neil Peck officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.

Butch was born March 1, 1941, to Leonard and Elsie (Myer) Hollister, in Smithland, Iowa. He attended school in Smithland. He was severely injured in a car accident at the age of 20 and had been in the nursing home ever since.

He loved to be outside and liked to raise tomatoes at the nursing home. He also enjoyed attending parties.

He is survived by his mother, Elsie Turner of Sioux City; three sisters, Millie Christensen of Des Moines, Jo Anne and her husband, Jerry Ferstl, of Algona, Iowa, and Beverly and her husband, Leland Fagon, of Merrill, Iowa; a half sister, Pam Turner of Sioux City; many nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Leonard; and his grandparent
