WAYNE, Neb. -- Evelyn N. Henschke, 79, of Wayne died Friday, Jan. 28, 2005, at Premier Estates Senior Living Community in Wayne.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Grace Lutheran Church in Wayne, with the Revs. Carl Lilienkamp and John Pasche officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Sioux City. Visitation will be 3 to 8 p.m. Monday at Schumacher-Hasemann Funeral Home in Wayne.

Evelyn Nellie Henschke, daughter of Hazen and Mame (Jarvis) Champlin, was born Oct. 18, 1925, at Beatrice, Neb. She was baptized and confirmed in the Methodist faith. She attended school in Sioux City.

She was married to Dale Willson in Sioux City. He passed away in August of 1987. Evelyn was employed as a production worker at Rice Paper Company and as a sales clerk at a department store in Sioux City.

Evelyn was united in marriage to Erwin Henschke on Jan. 22, 1995, in Sioux City. The couple lived on their farm near Wayne.

She attended Grace Lutheran Church in Wayne. Evelyn enjoyed crocheting, reading, knitting and doing crossword puzzles.

Survivors include her husband, Erwin; two sons and daughters-in-law, Dale and Janice Willson of Denver, Colo. and Keith and Sherry Willson of Pierson, Iowa; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; a brother, Oran Champlin of Lytle, Texas; a sister, Mona Stoch of California; a stepdaughter, Tammy and her husband, Alan Nissen of Wayne; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Dale; a brother; and three sisters.

Pallbearers will be Dale Willson, Terence Willson, Nick Siebold, Shannon Willson, Brandon Willson, Richie Garbiso and Christopher Nissen.
