Samuel W. Rymill, 90, of Sioux City died Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2005, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel, with the Rev. Merrill G. Muller officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation with the family present will be 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Samuel was born Nov. 4, 1914, in the historic O'Connor home in Homer, Neb., the son of Roy and Bertha (Burge) Rymill. He moved with his parents to a homestead near Lusk, Wyo., at an early age, but returned to South Sioux City in 1918. He attended school in South Sioux City and graduated from the National Business College in Sioux City.

He married Lois Rose on Nov. 23, 1935, in Sioux City. He was employed with Robin Hood International Milling in the late 1930s and 1940s. He was later employed as an office manager for Wonder Bread Baking Co. until being promoted to internal auditor and located to Englewood, Colo., in 1964. After retiring in the mid 1970s, the couple continued to live in Englewood until moving back to Sioux City in 2004 to be with family.

He was a member the Family Worship Center in Littleton, Colo and was very active in church work there. He also was active in church while living in Sioux City.

Survivors include his wife, Lois; a son and his wife, Roy and Sandra of Springhill, Kan.; a daughter and her husband, Joan and Gary Johansen of Sioux City; a sister, Margaret (Rymill) Wolf of Allen, Neb.; a brother and his wife, Jerry and Sherri Bliven of Burnsville, Minn.; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Fred and Ned Bliven; and a sister, Mary Jane Stotts.
