Dorothy Agnes McKenna, 86, of Sioux City died Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2005, at her residence surrounded by her family and friends.

Memorial services will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, with the Rev. Merlin Schrad officiating. Private family graveside services will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Larkin Northside Funeral Home.

Dorothy was born Sept. 20, 1918, in Sioux City, the daughter of William and Ethel (Smith) Clements. She was a life long Sioux City resident.

She married Martin Noel McKenna on Oct. 15, 1938, in Sioux City. He died Aug. 14, 1990, in Sioux City. She worked as a waitress for Green Gables Restaurant for 40 years.

She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and the Sioux City Policeman's Auxiliary. She enjoyed working with flowers and cooking. What she enjoyed most was spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by three children, Maureen McKenna of Sioux City, Dennis McKenna and his wife, Sharon of Sioux City and Kathleen McKenna of St. Augustine, Fla.; four grandchildren including Dr. Ryan McKenna and his wife, Jessica and Dr. Rory McKenna; a great-grandchild, Liam McKenna; a brother, Bill Clements of California; and two sisters, Mary and her husband, Robert Reedy and Helen Mascovich, all of California.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Michael; and her aunt, Gertrude Fitzgerald.
