Katie Renee Huser, 19, of Sioux City died unexpectedly Monday, Jan. 24, 2005, at her residence.

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, with the Rev. Steven Brodersen officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 3 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. and a vigil service at 6:30 p.m., at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel.

Katie was born Nov. 3, 1985, in Sioux City, the daughter of Steven and Diane (DeMarest) Huser. She grew up in Sioux City and attended Joy Grade School, East Middle School and East High School. She graduated from East High School in May 2004..

She was a lifelong Sioux City resident. She was currently working in the Italian Express Deli at the Gordon Drive Hy-Vee.

Survivors include her parents, Steven and Diane Huser of Sioux City; a brother, Jarod of Sioux City; paternal grandfather, John Huser of Sioux City; maternal grandparents, Harry and Joyce DeMarest of Sioux City; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Shirley Huser.

Pallbearers will be Ryan and Charlie Vakulskas, Joel Hugunin, Alex Erwin, Corey Robinson and Alex Nelson.
