Robert Duane Lundahl, 75, of Emerald Bay, Texas, formerly of Sioux City, passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2006, in Tyler, Texas.

Memorial services were held June 24 at Emerald Bay Community Church.

Robert was born July 27, 1930, in Wakefield, Neb. His family moved to Sioux City when he was a child. He graduated from Central High School in 1949. He attended Iowa State University and completed his bachelor of science degree in the field of chemical engineering in 1952.

He married Nanette Jean McVicker in 1953. He worked for Shell Chemical Company as an engineer for 38 years at locations in Texas, New York, Colorado and California.

He was an avid fisherman, golfer, gardener and loved to read and listen to music, especially jazz. He was a devoted and loving husband and father. He will be remembered for his dedication to his family and his way of life. He loved his grandchildren with remarkable passion.

He is survived by his wife, Nanette of Emerald Bay, Texas; a son and his wife, Bret Marc and Bonnie of Chico, Calif.; a son, Gregory Paul of Tyler, Texas; a son and his wife, Richard James and Holli of Little Egg Harbor, N.J.; a daughter and her husband, Diana Louise and James Roloefs of Golden, Colo.; his father at 98 years of age, Lester E. Lundahl of Sioux City; his sisters, Marlene VanderWiel and Lois Dennler and their spouses; six grandchildren; and nine nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Eugene in 1997.
