Gabriel Michael Clausen, infant son of Michael and Mandy Clausen of Sioux City, was born at Methodist Hospital in Omaha, on Thursday, July 6, 2006, and rose to Heaven later that day.

Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Luke Evangelical Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Craig Bock officiating. Burial will be in Arlington Township Cemetery at Moville, Iowa. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to service time Tuesday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel.

Although Gabriel was with us for just a short period of time, he touched many lives.

He was cherished by his parents, Mike and Mandy Clausen and his sister, Kaylee, all of Sioux City; maternal grandparents, Brian and Ronette Schultzen of Moville; paternal grandparents, Darrell and Vesta Clausen of Sioux City; maternal great-grandparents, Ronny Weiland of Le Mars, Iowa, and Virginia and Alfred Malcolm of Kingsley, Iowa and paternal great-grandparents, Gloria Brouwer of Sioux City, Robert and LaVelle Rice of Dakota Dunes, and Carol Rice of Sioux City. He will also be remembered by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Awaiting Gabriel's arrival in heaven are his maternal great-grandmother, Coleen Weiland; and paternal great-grandfather, Jack Brouwer.
