Gladys M. Fork, 89, of Sioux City passed away Friday, July 7, 2006, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Redeemer Lutheran Church, with the Rev. David N. Zirpel officiating. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Monday in Elmwood Cemetery at Carroll, Neb. Visitation will be one hour prior to services Monday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Gladys M. Fork, daughter of Edward and Anna (Boch) Fork, was born at Carroll, Neb., on Nov. 10, 1916. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Carroll. She attended rural school District 71 in Wayne County. She lived on a farm with her brother, Ernest, at Laurel, Neb. In 1964, she attended Western Iowa Tech in Sioux City, taking training for licensed practical nursing. She was employed for 19 years with the former Dr. H.E. Rudersdorf's office.

She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, the Ladies LORL, altar guild and quilting group, which makes quilts for World Relief.

Survivors include three brothers, Ernest of Laurel, Neb., Edward and his wife, Irene of Carroll, Neb., and Kermit and his wife, Frances of Battle Creek, Iowa; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Helen Fork, Laura Fork, Esther Vollerson and Ruth Winters; a brother, Arthur Fork; three sisters-in-law, Agnes Fork, Leona Fork and Martha Fork; and brothers-in-law, Peter Vollerson and Fred Winters.

Pallbearers will be Steve Uthe, Lonnie Fork, Regg Gadeken, Ron Gadeken, Herman Vollerson and George Schroeder.
