Ivan Alexander Barragan, 5, of Sioux City died Saturday, July 8, 2006, in a drowning accident near Correctionville, Iowa.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Loving Faith Fellowship, with the Rev. Patrick Burgess officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 4 to 6 p.m., at Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel.

Ivan was born Feb. 27, 2001, in Sioux City, the son of Jessica Barragan and David Revolorio. He attended West Side Preschool. He loved playing and taking care of his brother, Joshua, and spending time with all his family.

He was a member of Loving Faith Fellowship Church, where he enjoyed attending Sunday School and talking about Jesus.

He is survived by his mother, Jessica Barragan of Sioux City; his father, David Revolorio of Sioux Falls, S.D.; a brother, Joshua Barragan of Sioux City; his grandparents, the Rev. Johnny and Ruth Barragan of Sioux City; great-grandmothers, Nellie Barragan of Silver City, N.M., and Juana Aragon of El Paso, Texas; great-grandfather, Paula Gutierrez of El Paso, Texas; an uncle, JohnPaul Barragan and his wife, Lucia of Sioux City; an aunt, Roxie Barragan of Sioux City; a cousin, Cristian Barragan of Sioux City; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandfather, Joe Barragan.
