Marcelene "Marcy" Weis, 57, of Sioux City died Thursday, Feb. 3, 2005, at a Sioux City hospital following a brief illness.

Services will be 3 p.m. today at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Merrill Muller of Wesley United Methodist Church officiating. Cremation will follow the services and burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Monday in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be noon until service time today at the funeral home.

Marcy was born Dec. 4, 1947, in Sioux City, the daughter of Walter and Marie (Weis) Saling. She was raised in Sioux City, then moved to Omaha for about eight years. She then returned to Sioux City to continue her career as a self-employed beautician/barber.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her special friend, David Butler of Sioux City; a son and his wife, Ty Weis and Solveig Berg of Roseville, Minn.; two grandchildren, Maya and Kenyon; two brothers and their wives, Eldon and Paula Cleveland and Merlin Cleveland and Yvette, all of Sioux City; and two sisters, Zoeann Williams and Charlene and her husband, Randy Keegan, all of Sioux City.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her stepfather, Harold Cleveland.
