Edna C. Lindgren, 88, of Onawa, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2018 at a care facility in Sergeant Bluff.

Services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Avenue.

Edna Lindgren was born Dec. 7, 1929 in Hubbard, Neb., the daughter of James and Isola (Clift) Leedom.

On Aug. 3, 1947 she married Richard Lindgren in Homer, Neb. They later moved to Sioux City, where they raised their family. Edna baked pastries for Palmer House, was the cook for Sioux City Schools, and she also worked for Wintech, and Zenith until they closed.

She was a member of the Siouxland Country Music Association, loved to be with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and enjoyed camping with her family and friends.

Edna is survived by her two sons, Daniel (Diane) Lindgren of Onawa and Donald (Missy) Lindgren of Sioux City; two sisters, Marge Dicus of Killeen, Texas and Nita (Larry) Murfin of Wakefield, Neb.; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She proceeded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard; four brothers, Fred, Willie, Jimmy and Audrey Leedom and a brother-in-law, Al Dicus.
