Peggy A. Crom, 76, of Anthon, passed away Saturday, Oct. 6, 2018, at her home, surrounded by her family and friends.

Services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sergeant Bluff.

Peggy Ann Crom was born April 15, 1942, in Woodbine, Iowa, the daughter of Bernard Brummer and Helen Kepford. She attended high school in Tekamah, Neb.

Peggy married Howard Crom on Feb. 27, 1959. The couple lived in Lyons, South Sioux City and Hubbard, Neb. Peggy moved to Anthon in 2012. Peggy worked in child care and senior care for many years before going to work at the Boys and Girls Home for 18 years. She retired in 2010.

She is survived by her son, Michael (Bonnie) Crom of Wakefield, Neb.; daughter, Teresa Reeder of Corpus Christi, Texas; seven grandchildren, Tiffany (Mark) Olson, Vincent (Jennifer) Crom, Eric Reeder, Brittany Reeder, Ryan (Kate) Reeder, Zach Crom (Fiance Hope) and Austin Crom; five great-grandchildren; three brothers, Robert (Lori) Brummer of Denison, Iowa, Larry Brummer of Mexico, and Jim (Sandy) Brummer of Pelican Rapids, Minn.; one sister, Mary Schmidt of Blair, Neb.; nieces and nephews and many friends.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Howard; son, Jeffery Crom; one sister, Patsy Modlin; two brothers, Joseph and Max Brummer; and her special friend, Vic Banta.
